Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the TaskNest Hub website and services. By using the site, you agree to them. The operator is TaskNest Hub, 120 Broadway, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10271, USA.
Effective 23 October 2026. Questions about these terms go to Contact.
Acceptance of terms
Reading the terms is not the same as agreeing to them, so here is the plain version. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update these terms, and the effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Nothing on this page replaces the rights you already hold under the law where you live. Where a term here conflicts with a right that cannot be waived, that right wins.
The service we provide
TaskNest Hub operates a marketplace that connects customers with independent Taskers for household jobs and home repair services. We are not a contractor and we do not perform the work. Taskers are independent providers who set their own rates and accept or decline bookings. We facilitate matching, scheduling, payment, and support.
A task rabbit booking on this platform is a contract between you and the Tasker for the work described in the booking. Your agreement with us covers the marketplace itself: the account, the scheduling tools, the payment handling, and the support that runs behind them.
Some jobs need a licensed trade. Taskers on TaskNest Hub handle the everyday handyman and home repair services work that sits inside those limits, and we decline bookings that would cross them.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be old enough to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Keep your booking address current. Taskers rely on it to plan travel, parking, and the tools they load, and a wrong address is the most common reason a confirmed window slips.
Your responsibilities
Provide accurate information about the task, the location, and any access requirements. Clear the work area and secure pets before a visit. Follow building rules and any local permit requirements that apply to the work. Do not ask a Tasker to perform work outside the scope described in the booking. You are responsible for any items you supply.
- Say what the job actually is, including the surface, the height, and anything already half-finished.
- Confirm the access path: buzzer, elevator, parking, or a stairwell that decides how much a Tasker can carry.
- Have the parts, brackets, or furniture on site before the window starts.
- Tell the Tasker in advance about fragile items, freshly finished floors, or pets in the room.
What these terms cover
One document for the marketplace, not for the work itself.
Everything below splits into two halves. One half is the agreement between you and TaskNest Hub about the platform: accounts, bookings, payments, cancellations, and what we are responsible for. The other half is the boundary of what a Tasker may take on, and it exists so that no one books a job that needs a licensed trade.
The chapters below run in the order they tend to matter: what the service is, who may use it, how money moves, when plans change, and where our liability ends.
- The service we provide
- Booking and payment
- Cancellations and rescheduling
- Scope of work and prohibited tasks
- Disclaimers and liability
- Governing law and disputes
Booking and payment
Bookings are confirmed when you select a Tasker and a time window. The total shown at checkout includes the Tasker’s rate and the platform fee as separate line items. Payment runs through the platform unless an alternative method is offered at checkout for your booking. You agree to pay the amount shown. Extra time beyond the booking is billable at the Tasker’s rate when agreed.
Confirming a booking
A window is confirmed once you pick a Tasker and a start time and the booking is accepted. Until then, the request is only a request and nothing is charged.
What the total contains
The Tasker’s rate and the platform fee appear as separate line items before you pay. Parts, materials, and specialty tooling are not included unless the booking says so.
Extra time on site
If the job runs past the booked window and you agree to continue, the extra time is billable at the Tasker’s rate and is added to the same payment.
Cancellations and rescheduling
You may reschedule or cancel a booking through the platform. The applicable terms depend on how close you are to the start time. Rescheduling early is generally straightforward; late changes may affect your Tasker’s schedule. Where a Tasker cannot complete a booking, we notify you and offer alternatives.
Payment through the platform
Pay through the platform unless checkout offers you another method for that booking. Paying a Tasker off-platform removes the record of the job that our support team works from if something goes wrong.
A Tasker will mount, assemble, patch, and repair. A Tasker will not pull a new circuit, touch a gas line, or move a wall.
That line is the whole scope rule. Everything on this page about prohibited tasks exists to keep it clear before a booking starts, not after a Tasker arrives.
Scope of work and prohibited tasks
Taskers may not perform licensed trade work, including new electrical circuits, gas line work, or structural changes. Taskers may not accept payment outside the platform or bring unregistered helpers to a booking. Customers may not request work outside these limits. If a job requires a licensed trade, we may decline the booking or refer you to an appropriate provider.
Within scope
Mounting a TV or shelving, assembling flat-pack furniture, patching drywall, swapping a fixture on an existing circuit, hanging a door, tightening or replacing hardware.
Outside scope
New circuits or panel work, gas line connections, load-bearing or structural changes, and anything the local authority treats as a permitted trade job.
If you are unsure which side a job falls on, describe it in the booking and ask before the window starts. A short answer up front is faster than a cancelled visit.
Tasker obligations
What a Tasker agrees to when accepting a booking
Taskers agree to provide services in a professional manner, to follow applicable laws and building rules, and to communicate through the platform. They agree to complete bookings they accept or to notify the customer and the platform promptly if they cannot. They agree not to solicit payment outside the platform.
In practice that means arriving inside the booked window or messaging early when traffic or a previous job runs long, using the tools and materials the booking described, and keeping every conversation, quote change, and payment inside TaskNest Hub so both sides have the same record.
If a Tasker cannot finish a job within the agreed scope, the obligation is to say so during the visit rather than after, and to leave the workspace in a condition you can still use.
Intellectual property
The content on this site, including text, graphics, and logos, is owned by TaskNest Hub or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without permission, except as allowed for personal, non-commercial use.
Reviews, photos, and job descriptions you post stay yours. By posting them you give us permission to display them on the platform and in the booking flow, and you confirm you have the right to share what you upload.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of competent jurisdiction in New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Before pursuing formal action, contact us so we can try to resolve the matter. Most booking disagreements end at the first message, because the platform keeps the booking, the messages, and the payment on one record.
Contact us about these termsDisclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. The notes below answer the questions that come up most often around this section.
Who is responsible if a job goes wrong?
The work itself is between you and the Tasker. TaskNest Hub is responsible for the marketplace around it: accurate booking records, payment handling, and support when something is disputed. Report an issue through the platform and we will review the booking record with both sides.
What does “as available” mean for booking windows?
Taskers set their own availability, so a time slot can disappear while you are still deciding. A window is held only once the booking is confirmed. If a Tasker has to drop a confirmed booking, we tell you and show other Taskers who cover that service in your area.
Are Taskers employees of TaskNest Hub?
No. Taskers are independent providers who set their own rates and choose which bookings to accept. That independence is why rates differ between Taskers for similar work, and why the rate on the booking is the one that applies.
What happens if a Tasker asks to be paid outside the platform?
Decline and tell us. Off-platform payment is against these terms for Taskers and it removes the booking record that support relies on. You are not obliged to pay anything that was not shown at checkout.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by email where appropriate. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the version in force, so you can check it against the last time you read these terms.
If a change affects how bookings, payments, or cancellations work, we will say so plainly rather than leaving it to the date alone. Continued use of TaskNest Hub after an update means you accept the revised terms.
